About Us

Radarhomes.co.uk is an agent owned property portal launched in November 2009, initially throughout the South West of England, that offers homes for sale and homes to rent. It was set up in response to requests from a number of leading property agents who wanted the benefits that a regionally focused, agent owned property portal would provide. Radarhomes has now launched similar platforms in all other regions in the UK, so agents across the country can enjoy the same benefits.

The technology that powers Radarhomes was built upon the existing foundation of another property website: Homeswapshop.com.  This website used the same sophisticated search engine as Radarhomes but was dedicated to the facilitation of home exchange.

Radarhomes allows member agents to upload unlimited properties via automated feeds through their software supplier, via our in house automated facility or manually if required. Members of the public can access the website and search for their desired home to buy or rent. They are also able to register their details in order to save favourite properties and in the near future, the consumer will be able to save search criteria and receive email alerts when a property is uploaded by an agent that matches their criteria.

Current and Future Development

Radarhomes is continually investing in research and development and together with Google Adwords, and search engine optimisation strategies, Radarhomes will remain at the cutting edge of technology and traffic will be maximised to the website.

Radarhomes has also undertaken a regional ITV1 advertising campaign and a regional Atlantic FM radio promotion; both of which further promoted the brand to the public and to potential new member agents alike.  Radarhomes also intends to launch its own property newspaper in the near future, which will be hugely beneficial for the brand and for agents alike.  Radarhomes has recently collaborated with Propertyvideos.org in order to produce high quality video testimonials from current member agents, regarding the benefits behind the ethos of the Radarhomes property portals.  The testimonials can be found in the Radar TV section of the site.

In the near future, the home swap element of the business will be integrated into Radarhomes under the branding 'Radarhomes Part Exchange'.  This is a truly exciting step forward for the website; making it unique amongst property portals, in that it will be equally a property portal and a home exchange facility for the public. The Part Exchange facility has the potential to create member agents chain free sales opportunities and potentially two new sales instructions. It also benefits the customer by creating an opportunity to acquire a new property regardless of economic conditions.
