About Us...

The Proffitt & Holt Watford estate agency office is now located at the top of The Parade on the High Street and is one of the town’s longest established firms serving the Watford area since 1939. The office offers residential sales, lettings and property management and is also the base for our associated financial services company, The Mortgage Advice Bureau.

The sales and lettings departments deal with property throughout Watford and the surrounding areas, including Cassiobury and Nascot Wood, Croxley Green, Garston, North and West Watford and Oxhey. There is a diverse choice of property in the area, such as purpose-built flats, modern developments of starter and family homes, Victorian cottages and larger family homes dating back to the 1930s.

Watford has a thriving town centre with the excellent Intu and Charter Place shopping centres, both offering well-known High Street stores and individual independent shops, as well as popular restaurants... Read more and coffee shops. The town also provides an excellent range of amenities and sporting facilities and is home to a Championship football club and Premier League rugby club, Saracens.

The town is ideally located for the commuter with Watford mainline station providing a fast and regular service to London Euston and the Metropolitan Line Underground station providing access to Baker Street and The City. There are also excellent links to the national motorway network with junction 5 of the M1 and junction 19 of the M25 approximately 1.5 miles from the town centre.
