Sally Blowey

Chartered Surveyor & RICS Registered Valuer, Tavistock office

A qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, Sally covers the West Devon and Cornwall area, working between the Tavistock and Launceston offices. Prior to joining Stags in 2017, Sally obtained a First-Class degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University and qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers in 2016 whilst working for a local West Devon firm.

Sally undertakes a wide range of professional work including formal valuations, advising on rural grants and subsidy applications including the Basic Payment and Countryside Stewardship schemes, landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, drawing up Farm Business Tenancy and grass keep agreements and compensation claims.

Sally is from a farming family and now lives in West Devon with her husband, a dairy farmer. Outside of work Sally is a leader of Tavistock Young Farmers and keen home baker.

Recent examples of work

Valuation of an individual’s estate for inheritance tax purposes to include the farmhouse, range of barns and 80 acres of land.

Putting together a Mid-Tier Countryside Stewardship application, securing five further years of environmental stewardship payments for various clients.

Letting 150 acres of farmland on various grass keep agreements after putting to informal tender.

Negotiating compensation with a utility company after emergency replacement of poles on electricity line.
