Location
Fleckney is a large thriving village, neighbouring Kibworth equidistant from Leicester and Market Harborough in some of the county's prettiest countryside. It has a wealth of interesting amenities including sports clubs and teams, a doctors surgery, various shops and a supermarket. The village of Fleckney dates back as far as the Doomsday Book when it was simply an agricultural community, it remained so until the 19th Century which saw the development of some local industry, firstly brickmaking , some bricks were used in the construction of the original St. Pancras Station, and then, like many of the local villages, the hosiery industry. Fleckney has always been a desirable place to put down roots, Lady Byron, the wife of the poet the 6th Earl Byron, kept a house here as Lady of the Manor. Council tax band A.
