From Huddersfield proceed along the A616 Sheffield Road for 1½ miles to Lockwood traffic lights. At these lights turn left towards Honley and Holmfirth. Proceed along Woodhead Road for a further two miles through Berry Brow and then when reaching the traffic lights at Honley take the right hand lane along the Woodhead Road signposted Holmfirth. Proceed through the next set of traffic lights and carry on via Thongsbridge for approximately 1½ miles to Holmfirth. At the centre of Holmfirth turn left down Victoria Street. At the right hand bend turn right into Dunford Road and South Lane will be seen immediately on the left. South Lane is narrow and it would be sensible to park in the Holmfirth centre and to walk up a short distance to No 13 South Lane.
