Branch Manager, Saltash office

I have been working in estate agency since 1986 starting my career working in Malta and then moving onto Tenerife selling second homes. After spending two and half years abroad I moved back to Scotland briefly where I was brought up, before moving to Plymouth.

I started working in Plymouth as a negotiator in 1989 and was very quickly promoted to the Branch Valuer. Within eighteen months I was promoted again to the Manager of a very successful office in Plymstock. I really enjoyed my time in this office as there was a wide range of properties to see and a very localised market where you could get to know your clients over a period of time. I then moved to back to the Plymouth office as Senior Branch Manager and to run a very successful valuation team covering the whole of Plymouth. This lead onto being promoted to Area Manager, where I covered both the Exeter and Plymouth areas over a period of time. Part of this role meant that I had to qualify as a mortgage consultant and also pass the CeMap exams, which I was the first Area Manager to do so.

I have been the Manager of the Bradley’s Mannamead office since 2006 and enjoy the freedom to develop the business both on sales and rentals. During this time I have qualified as a DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) to carry out energy assessments as part of the ongoing legislation in the property market. The attraction of this job is that you have time both in and out of the office and also get the chance to look at a wide range of properties and meet a variety of clients.

Out of work I have always been an outdoor person which probably stems from many years walking the Scottish mountains as a child. I love nothing better than walking my dog in the woods, playing golf with friends and spending time with my family. My family are very important to me and they give me the drive and determination to succeed in this business.
