About Us...

Dacre, Son & Hartley has firm roots in agriculture and land agency work dating back to the days when the firm operated the livestock auction market in Otley. Today we have two chartered surveyors dedicated to land agency and rural property management work, acting on behalf of private clients, national companies and major pension funds across Yorkshire and the north of England. Our management work ranges from small landholdings to some of the finest country estates in North Yorkshire. 

Based at our Harrogate office, the Agriculture team is headed up by Director Ian Cox who joined the business in 1981. Ian is qualified in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural College and has a specialist interest in sporting estates. He is also ... Read morea registered valuer on a day-to-day basis. Ian and his team of three deal with single farm payment applications and queries, stewardship schemes, providing landlord and tenant advice including rent reviews and compensation work. Ian Cox also deals sales and lettings of farmland and shoot days.
