One of the most unusual things about Humphrey & Brand is the sense of pride in the community, which is not only lovely but also something I've never experienced at any company before working here.

I joined in February 2014 as Head of Property Management, and I've built many longstanding relationships with landlords since then. They take a lot of comfort in having a managing agent who knows their property inside out, and that only comes from such a long continuity of service. My favourite thing is having a good old catch up over the phone with our clients.

Despite doing this for many years, property management is a constant learning curve: I spend plenty of time keeping up with current legislation, then discussing any changes with the team. Everyone here gels really well, works closely together and takes pride in their work and the experience of our customers.

There's never a dull moment, and the day-to-day variety and constant hustle & bustle mean I'm always busy – I never wonder how to fill my time!

I love how pockets of Surbiton have a calm and tranquil feel, but the city centre is only 20 minutes away, so you have the best of both worlds. Outside of work, you'll have an excellent chance of finding me enjoying The French Tarte's delicious baking, having a drink inside The Antelope or sitting in the beer garden of The Victoria.
