Jeremy Leaf

I was born in Hampstead in 1956 and grew up in North London but soon discovered property must have been coursing through my veins as my family seemed to talk of little else in my early years! I didn’t waste much time putting that knowledge into practice for, after leaving University College School, Hampstead I gained an Estate Management degree in 1977 then took up RICS membership. I then joined St Dunstan’s, the war-blinded ex-servicemen’s charity, to help manage their mainly residential portfolio in Hertfordshire and East Anglia. Jeremy Leaf & Co Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents started trading from 863 High Road, Finchley, in March 1984. The business grew organically with other branches to employ 22 people today and, although still run as a general practice covering sales, lettings, surveys, valuations, etc, became particularly synonymous with land and new homes. As a result, we have been directly involved in the acquisition and sale of over two hundred schemes in London and the Home Counties. I am married with four grown up children and live off Hendon Lane, Finchley, where Jeremy Leaf & Co have been responsible for sixteen developments alone! I enjoy most sports - especially football and cricket - as well as theatre, cinema and country walking when time permits. However, I start work around 7am every day and rarely finish without completing a 12 hour day - and continue every weekend! I really love my work and can honestly say have always done so.
