Barkers Way, North Tawton

3 bedroom property for sale

Guide price £245,000

No Chain! This recently refurbished detached property has undergone numerous improvements & includes three bedrooms, two bath/shower rooms, a brand new kitchen with appliances, large living room, conservatory, plus gardens, garage & driveway and mains gas central heating.

This freshly refurbished detached property is found towards the edge of this market town, with some views onto rolling hills but still within walking distance of its many amenities & bus transport links North Tawton has to offer.

The flexible accommodation includes a brand new glossy kitchen with integrated induction hob, oven, dishwasher & fridge freezer; the lounge diner is a great size & has a bay widow (with view) and a wood-burning stove, plus an attached conservatory. There is also a ground floor bedroom/study and a wet room with space power & plumbing for a washing machine. Upstairs we have two massive bedrooms, plus the family bathroom and a large landing, again suitable to be a study area if desired. The whole property is double glazed & has mains gas central heating throughout (new boiler).

Numerous improvements have been made here in the last year including the kitchen, central heating boiler, new carpets, painted inside & out, plus a new garage door & replaced guttering/downpipe.

OUTSIDE: Behind the property is a low maintenance paved courtyard garden, with a pretty & level lawned garden to the side, which could easily be made more private if desired. There is a very long adjoining garage (light power & water) with rear access door & driveway parking in-front.

There is further scope to enhance the property going forward, perhaps the conservatory could be replaced with a full length family room extension and the bathroom/wet-room could be modernised in time too.

DIRECTIONS:

Upon entering North Tawton go straight across the roundabout taking you on to the High Street, staying left at the town centre where the road becomes Fore Street. At the bottom of the hill turn left onto Barkers Way and number 11 will be found up on your left hand side.

NORTH TAWTON is a small town, built alongside the banks of ‘The River Taw’. Settlements in and around the ‘Taw Valley’ experience a haven-like quality, between the often steep-edged hillsides – a contrast to other areas of more open farmland. The town has a selection of shops, a primary school, The Fountain and The White Hart pubs and an undeniably pretty square. For more choice, by way of facilities the larger town of Okehampton is only 5 miles up the road – where access to the A30 dual carriageway (a link to the City of Exeter) can also be found. North Tawton, as with many Devon towns has a prime medieval church, with a west spire adorned with oak shingles. The town is also known for its superb creamery. The Taw Valley Creamery (est 1974) produces award -winning cheeses, revered locally and nationally.
